Summary: AVA Consulting is looking for an ETL/Informatica Developer who will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and documenting system and application programs. The role requires collaboration in preparing technical design specifications and participating in architecture and code reviews. Candidates should have extensive experience with Informatica and SQL, along with a strong understanding of data modeling and ETL solutions. This position is open to U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S., with remote work options available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follows company software development lifecycle to design, code, configure, test, debug, and document system and application programs.
- Assists in preparing technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documents.
- Reviews functional requirements, analysis and design documents and provides feedback. Participates in architecture, design and code reviews.
- Develops and maintains operational and system level documentation.
Key Skills:
- Experience developing with Informatica PowerCenter, designing and developing Informatica workflows for enterprise system(s), deployment of Informatica to production environment, and writing scripts to manage/move/schedule files in accordance to Informatica integration.
- 5+ years of experience working in a medium or large operating environment supporting Informatica.
- 4+ years of SQL experience (ability to develop, modify, troubleshoot and optimize complex queries and stored procedures).
- Deep understanding of relational/dimensional data modeling and data mapping design, integration, migration and warehousing.
- Design and Implementation of ETL solutions with effective design and optimized performance, ETL Development with industry standard recommendations for jobs recovery, fail over, logging, alerting mechanisms.
- Preferred development background with Java, J2EE, Database building, SQL scripting and Management: DB2, SQL, PL/SQL, JDBC, Mapping and Workflow Tools.
- Preferred experiencing developing with Azure Data Factory.
- Previous experience in the banking and insurance industry preferred.
