Summary: The Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) will play a crucial role in the Epic on Azure migration team, focusing on the planning, design, and implementation of Epic EHR infrastructure in the Azure cloud. This position demands hands-on expertise in Epic applications, Azure, and specialized tools like Kuiper and System Pulse to ensure optimal performance and compliance. The ECSA will be responsible for managing the deployment and ongoing support of Epic applications while adhering to security standards. This role is remote and requires specific healthcare industry experience with Epic EHR systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in MIP (Migration & Implementation Planning) workshops, capture infrastructure requirements, and align technical strategy with Azure migration objectives.
- Deploy, manage, and maintain Epic Windows Server infrastructure on Azure. Configure and support applications such as Hyperspace, Interconnect, EPS, Web BLOB, BCA, and MyChart.
- Partner with architects to design scalable, secure, and Azure-compliant Epic solutions.
- Utilize Kuiper and System Pulse to monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents to minimize downtime.
- Create and maintain KB articles, troubleshooting guides, and detailed documentation of system configurations and processes.
- Provide ongoing operational support, patches, and updates to ensure high availability and reliability of Epic applications.
- Adhere to HIPAA, HITECH, and organizational security standards; implement Azure-native security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
