The Cogito Administrator is a remote Analyst-level role, responsible for the configuration, monitoring, support and administration of the Epic Systems application/data infrastructure.
The Cogito (Reporting) Administrator will help maintain an optimized database infrastructure to support numerous client reporting and data needs.
High level tasks include creating and maintaining the reporting and data warehouse databases, and installing, maintaining, and supporting the nightly Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes into the reporting and data warehouse databases.
Key Competencies:
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting on Microsoft SQL Server databases/servers
- Required to complete and maintain an Epic Cogito Administration certification
- Installs, upgrades, maintains and supports Epic reporting databases (Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer etc.) server platforms
- Apply Epic database updates to all installed databases
- Works with other teams to apply and validate updates to databases and ETL infrastructure
- Monitors and optimizes the performance of Epic nightly ETL processes and Epic database updates
- Defines and implements security, audit, and resource allocation policies and procedures. Defines, creates, and manages service user accounts, profiles, privileges, roles, and required audit information.
