Summary: The Environmental Field Specialist (EFS) is responsible for monitoring activities with potential environmental impacts and providing consultation and training to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The role requires responding to field queries and emergencies, necessitating a valid California Driver's License and frequent driving. The position involves various environmental compliance activities, including project support and emergency response. A background in geology and drilling experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor routine and emergency activities with potential environmental impacts.
- Provide professional consultation, advice, direction, and training to Company personnel and contractors.
- Respond to field queries related to Company emergencies on an after-hours phone advice line.
- Support operations tag work and quick tag pole replacement for electric distribution.
- Understand risks before construction activities.
- Utilize Geotracker and GIS database for environmental compliance.
- Provide emergency response as necessary.
Key Skills:
- Valid California Driver's License.
- Experience with drilling and groundwater management.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance regulations.
- Background in geology is preferred.
- Experience with Geotracker and GIS databases.
- Ability to provide emergency response.
Salary (Rate): £50 - £65 hourly

Environmental Field Specialist (EFS): Monitors routine and emergency activities with potential environmental impacts. Will be required to staff and respond to field queries related to Company emergencies (physical visits may be required) on an after-hours phone advice line on an as needed basis. Emergency field responses may be required at any time as determined to be necessary. Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License; frequent driving required. Environmental Field Specialist duties encompass environmental compliance activities related to:
- Project environmental specialist
- Supports ops tag work, quick tag pole replacement for electric distribution for miles long
- Candiate needs to understand the risk before going into construction
- Geotracker and GIS database (beyond desktop)
- Drilling experiencer and combination
- Geologist background would be great (manager is a geologist)
- Drilling of ground water and soil vaper?
- Water board would be great (not necessary)
- SPCC would be great but not necessary
- Providing emergency response
