Key Responsibilities:
- Design Complex Problems — Craft advanced environmental engineering scenarios covering contaminant transport, mass balance in treatment plants, hydrology, Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), and more
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions — including chemical dosage calculations, hydraulic flow models, and pollutant dispersion simulations — that serve as reference-quality benchmarks
- Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated remediation plans, environmental impact statements, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy, regulatory adherence (EPA, ISO 14001), and safety
- Improve AI Reasoning — Identify logical flaws in AI responses and provide structured feedback to correct model behavior
Key Skills:
- Pursuing or completed a Master's or PhD in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering (environmental focus), or a closely related discipline
- Strong foundational expertise in at least one of: aquatic chemistry, wastewater process design, air quality engineering, or hazardous waste remediation
- Able to communicate complex technical and ecological concepts clearly and precisely in writing
- Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy — unit conversions, chemical equations, and regulatory logic all matter here
- No prior AI experience required — your engineering knowledge is what we need
- Experience with data annotation, quality assurance, or evaluation workflows (nice to have)
- Familiarity with environmental modeling software (e.g., AERMOD, SWMM, or similar) (nice to have)
