This role will serve as the primary technical lead responsible for designing, governing, and coordinating integrations across multiple internal and external technology teams for Amtrak s IWMS implementation.
It would also provide the technical leadership necessary to translate business requirements into scalable, supportable integration solutions.
The Plan on implementation requires complex, bi-directional integrations supporting:
- SAP (legacy ECC, S/4HANA)
- Active Directory
- ArcGIS and GIS spatial data services
- AWS integration services
- Real-time and event-driven API architectures
- Potential Databricks or Data Lake integration
- Enterprise reporting and analytics platforms
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver bi-directional, real-time integrations between Planon, SAP, ArcGIS, and other enterprise platforms.
- Define end-to-end integration architecture, data flows, trigger events, and API strategies.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison with partner IT, SAP, GIS, Data & Analytics, and infrastructure teams.
- Develop and review Functional Design Documents (FDDs), Technical Design Documents (TDDs), data mappings, and solution designs.
- Lead integration testing, error handling design, monitoring strategy, and user acceptance testing.
- Establish integration standards and reusable patterns that can support future platform and data lake initiatives.
