Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and implement specialized storage infrastructure solutions for mission-critical environments.
- Serve as the primary storage infrastructure architect, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable system performance.
- Monitor and validate system health across technologies such as Kafka, SAM-QFS, ZFS, ESXi, Splunk, OpenDuty, and Nagios.
- Conduct independent analysis, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of complex web, mainframe, and client-server systems.
- Architect, deploy, and manage system software, hardware, and associated infrastructure components.
- Provide advanced technical support in installing, maintaining, and improving mission-critical operating systems and subsystems.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for designing, installing, and maintaining system software support components.
- Perform system tuning for optimal speed, reliability, and performance.
- Track and manage system capacity and ensure the stability of enterprise infrastructure.
- Train and mentor Systems Programmer I and II staff members.
- Provide expert-level technical assistance and guidance to IT teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate across organizational units and serve as a technical liaison and resource.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of experience with SAM-QFS.
- 10+ years of experience with SL8500.
- 10+ years of experience with ACSLS.
- 10+ years of experience with Clemson - US California DRBS relationship.
- Proficiency in PERL and C Programming.
- Experience with Splunk and ESXi.
- System performance evaluation skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, or a technical field.
