Summary: Our client, a global consulting firm, is seeking an Enterprise Architect for a contract role in the Banking sector, specifically focusing on mortgage domain architecture. The position requires expertise in mortgage lifecycle management and the ability to align strategies with target architecture. The contract is set to run until September 2026, primarily remote with occasional travel to Milton Keynes. The role is classified as inside IR35 and offers a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mortgage Domain Architecture Expertise - Strong understanding of end-to-end mortgage lifecycle (origination, underwriting, completion, servicing, retention) and the supporting platform landscape.
- Target State & Roadmap Alignment - Ability to translate Mortgages strategy into target architecture, transition states, and investment-aligned roadmaps.
- Regulated Financial Services Governance - Experience operating within a highly regulated mortgage environment, ensuring solutions align to risk, control, compliance, and audit expectations (including customer outcomes and regulatory obligations).
- Complex Integration & Legacy Modernisation - Proven capability in architecting across Legacy mortgage systems, APIs, third-party integrations (eg credit bureaus, valuation, conveyancing), and cloud-enabled components while managing technical debt.
- Design Authority & Senior Stakeholder Influence - Ability to provide architectural leadership across delivery programmes, contribute to design governance forums, and confidently engage senior stakeholders across Product, Technology, and Risk.

Contract is running until the end of September 2026 initially, paying up to £695p/day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella) and will be mainly remote with ad hoc travel to Milton Keynes when required.
