Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead data architecture efforts in complex, multi-system environments.

  • Enforce enterprise data standards and manage data usage.

  • Develop and maintain logical and physical data models using ERwin Data Modeler.

Enterprise Architect IV (100% remote)
Primary Location: 100% remote

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for an Enterprise Architect IV (100% remote) for our premier client.

Education and Experience »

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT or data-related roles, with 5+ years in a lead data architecture capacity.
  • Experience in pension, retirement, or benefit distribution systems including health insurance and related data processes.
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs).
  • Experience enforcing enterprise data standards and managing enterprise vs. local data usage.
  • Experience working with both transactional data models and applications, as well as data lake architectures and solutions.
  • Proficiency with ERwin Data Modeler for developing, documenting, and maintaining logical and physical data models in support of enterprise architecture.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand, synthesize, and translate business needs into high-level data architecture strategies.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams in the implementation of architecture, relying on their expertise for detailed solution design and execution.
  • Extensive experience leading data efforts in complex, multi-system environments, with a focus on integration and business impact.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise data management disciplines: data governance, master data, metadata, lineage, and quality.
  • Knowledge of data architecture principles, reference architectures, and best practices for both on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience with data modeling tools and working with technical staff who focus on data integration technologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with business and technical stakeholders at all levels.

10+ Years in IT & Information Management:

  • Should include roles like Data Architect, Solution Architect, Data Modeler, or similar - ideally in large-scale or public sector environments.

5+ Years as a Data Architect with Data Modeling:

  • Must show leadership in designing data architecture and building logical and physical data models using tools like ERwin, PowerDesigner, or IBM InfoSphere.

Collaboration with Business & IT Teams:

  • Experience in gathering business requirements and translating them into architectural/data models. Resume should mention working closely with stakeholders across departments.

Enterprise Data Architecture & Strategy:

  • Demonstrated ability to define and maintain enterprise-level data strategies, flows, and frameworks across multiple systems or platforms.

Cloud Data Architecture (Nice to Have but Strongly Preferred):

  • Experience designing or migrating data architecture on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) - mention cloud-native tools (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory).

Data Governance, Master Data & Metadata Management:

  • Clear examples of applying data standards, ensuring data quality, lineage, and governance practices across systems.

Transactional Systems & Data Lakes:

  • Must include experience integrating transactional databases with analytical environments (e.g., Hadoop, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.).

Public Sector / Modernization Projects (Strong Plus):

  • Work experience with insurance, pension, health benefits, or public sector agencies - especially related to modernization or legacy system transformation.

Data Integration & Migration Projects:

  • Lead or participated in data integration/migration efforts across systems; should include planning, execution, validation, and coordination with technical teams.
