Summary: Our client, a global consulting firm, is seeking an Enterprise Architect for a contract role focused on a project in the Banking sector. The position requires expertise in the Cards value chain and payments domain knowledge. The contract is set to run until the end of 2026, primarily remote with occasional travel to Milton Keynes. The role is classified as inside IR35 and offers a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide architectural guidance and expertise in the Cards value chain including issuing, authorisation, clearing, settlement, disputes, chargebacks, fraud controls, tokenisation, and customer servicing.
- Understand and apply Visa & MasterCard ecosystem rules, interchange models, settlement cycles, compliance obligations, and life cycle events.
- Utilize payments domain knowledge including Faster Payments, CHAPS, BACS, SWIFT, and SEPA.
- Implement ISO20022 standards and practices.
Key Skills:
- Experience across the Cards value chain (issuing, authorisation, clearing, settlement, disputes and chargebacks, fraud controls, tokenisation, customer servicing).
- Visa & MasterCard ecosystem understanding: scheme rules, interchange models, settlement cycles, compliance obligations, life cycle events.
