Engineering Program Manager (Data Trends / Analysis - Retail Sales)

W2 Contract

Pay Rate: $55 - $65 per hour

Location: Cupertino, CA - Remote Role

Job Summary:

We are looking for someone who is extremely organized, strategic, and operates at a fast pace. They will need to understand data and data analytics. Not the "containers" of data, but the meaning of the data itself: what the datasets represent, how data is transformed, and what analytics or metrics would break if the underlying data changed. Someone who can sit in the middle of upstream and downstream teams, navigate privacy approvals, and understand the "why" behind the numbers.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Strong project management skills (roadmaps, timelines, deadlines, status reporting)
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts
  • Deep understanding of data and data analytics - the meaning and transformation of data, not just its movement
  • Able to handle fast-paced, ambiguously defined projects with multiple customers and partners
  • Familiarity with big data technology (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Mac laptop (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong strategic thinking
  • Self-directed; able to bring structure to ambiguity and operate independently
