Role Purpose
The Engineering Architect defines and governs the end-to-end technical architecture for the iCSM transformation program. This role ensures that solution designs across sub-divisions are coherent, scalable, and aligned to enterprise standards with particular emphasis on how the target architecture supports Clinical Supply Chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture Ownership: Own and evolve the current and target-state technical and integration architecture for SAP iCSM and its satellite systems across Mx and Vx.
- Requirements Translation: Translate clinical supply chain processes into comprehensive system, data, and integration architecture requirements.
- Integration Governance: Define and govern integration patterns between iCSM, SAP, and upstream/downstream SaaS systems.
- Data Strategy & Migration: Lead the data architecture and migration strategy, including regulated data controls and the cutover approach.
- Standards & Compliance: Set and enforce non-functional requirements (performance, security, data privacy, GxP) and architecture standards.
- Risk Management: Identify architectural risks and technical debt early and drive proactive mitigation actions.
- Vendor & Post-Go-Live Support: Review vendor solution designs and hypercare approaches to ensure long-term fit and supportability.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience in enterprise / solution architecture and systems integration on large transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of SAP landscapes and enterprise application ecosystems, including SAP integration.
Experience & Competencies
- Extensive background in enterprise/solution architecture or technical leadership within global transformation programs.
- Deep understanding of pharmaceutical R&D and supply chain within a regulated (GxP) environment.
- Proven ability to translate business and process needs into robust architecture models.
