Employment Lawyer | Local Authority | Remote | 3-6 Month Contract+
We're currently working with a well established Local Authority seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join their legal team on an initial 3-6 month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.
This is an excellent opportunity for an interim lawyer looking for a fully remote assignment within local government. You'll join a busy, supportive legal team, advising on a varied employment law caseload and working closely with HR and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a full employment law caseload from instruction through to conclusion.
- Advising on disciplinary, grievance, capability and dismissal matters.
- Advising on TUPE, redundancy, restructuring and organisational change.
- Providing advice on discrimination, equality and whistleblowing matters.
- Delivering pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to internal clients.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive.
- Demonstrable employment law experience.
- Previous experience in Local Authority or the wider public sector is highly desirable.
- Available to start at short notice is advantageous.
