Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as lead legal counsel for the Cloud division on complex public sector tenders and contract negotiations.
  • Conduct line by line gap analyses of EMEA public sector procurement terms and prepare executive-friendly summaries of key risks.
  • Collaborate with Sales, DPO, GAPP, Pricing, Product, and Security teams to resolve legal issues and facilitate deal-making.

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in legal counsel, specifically in cloud computing agreements (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Deep knowledge of public sector procurement laws and processes across EMEA.
  • Experience in strategic risk management and cross-functional collaboration.

About the Opportunity
A Fortune 50 Technology Company is looking for an Attorney with 10+ years' experience for a 12 month engagement starting April 2026 . The work will involve supporting the EMEA Cloud team with high-value Government opportunities . Specifically, the candidate will work on: (1) Autonomous Cloud Deal leadership : acting as lead legal counsel to company's Cloud division on high-value, complex public sector tenders and contract negotiations with minimal supervision. Candidate must have demonstrated experience acting for a supplier in the drafting, negotiation, and amendment of complex enterprise cloud computing agreements (IaaS, PaaS, and/or SaaS). (2) Strategic Risk Management : Conducting/overseeing line by line gap analyses of EMEA public sector procurement terms, conditions and requirements as compared against standard company positions and fallbacks. Preparing executive-friendly summaries of the key risks. Candidate must have deep knowledge of public sector procurement laws and processes across EMEA (including Competitive Dialogue, negotiated procedures, Framework Agreements, RFPs, ITTs, and direct awards). (3) Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partnering with Sales, DPO, GAPP, Pricing, Product, and Security teams to drive consensus on broader legal issues and unblock deal-making obstacles.

Required:
Candidates must be able to work full-time . The work can be performed remotely, however the role is based in the UK and preference for candidates who can work UK hours. Company's preferred pricing model is daily with a budget of up to $600 GBP OR $800 USD per day. Candidates based in the US will be paid in USD and candidates based in the UK will be paid in GBP. Candidate will be employed through an Employer of Record (EOR) for the duration of the engagement.
