Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer to join our Optics Driver Team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C and Python programming, platform software development, and deep understanding of optical networking technologies. This role involves developing and validating optics drivers, enabling hardware platforms, debugging complex hardware-software interactions, and supporting next-generation optical transceiver technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience in C programming and Python scripting.
- Experience in platform software development for embedded or networking systems.
- Solid knowledge of board bring-up, hardware enablement, and device driver development.
- Strong understanding of Layer-1 networking concepts and optical communication technologies.
- Hands-on experience with optical transceiver standards such as SFF and CMIS.
- Experience in software debugging, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with Linux-based development environments and embedded systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with C-CMIS implementation and validation.
- Knowledge of Client IOS XR architecture and networking platforms.
- Experience working on high-speed networking products such as routers, switches, and optical systems.
- Strong expertise in hardware/software integration and platform diagnostics.
- Exposure to automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-assisted development/testing tools.
- Knowledge of Ethernet, optics, and networking protocols.
