Embedded Software Engineer, AC power systems

The Role

Working within an experienced engineering team, you'll develop embedded software for protection relay products that monitor, protect and control electrical power systems.

You'll be involved in implementing new protection features, enhancing existing functionality and supporting testing activities.

Essential Experience

• Strong embedded software development experience using C and C++.
• A strong understanding of AC power systems, including transmission and distribution networks.
• Experience developing products or systems used within electrical substations, power distribution or power protection environments.
• Able to understand and implement power protection algorithms within embedded software.
• Familiarity with IEC 61850 or other power system communication protocols.
