Hiring an experienced Email & Marketing Automation Manager for a 3 4 month contract to lead email marketing and marketing automation. This is a hands-on interim role: you'll set direction, build in the platform, and keep campaigns shipping.

You'll support both B2B and B2C programs serving dental professionals, companion animal veterinary professionals, and production animal customers across the Patterson portfolio. Two marketing team members will look to you for day-to-day work direction, prioritization, and QA review.

We need someone who can ramp fast. You should be comfortable walking into an existing HubSpot instance, assessing what's there, and making an impact quickly.

What You'll Own

  • Keep the email and marketing automation calendar running across multiple audiences and business segments, balancing promotional, educational, and lifecycle sends.
  • Build and optimize automated customer journeys lead nurture, onboarding, product education, cross-sell/upsell, re-engagement, retention, and event follow-up.
  • Build audience segmentation using behavior, engagement, lifecycle stage, and available customer data.
  • Provide daily work direction to two team members: assign campaign work, set priorities, review builds before launch, and unblock them.
  • Run QA on every send links, rendering, personalization tokens, suppression logic, audience accuracy.
  • Maintain deliverability and database health through list management, suppression, consent, and engagement practices.
  • Report on performance against deliverability, engagement, conversion, lead progression, and revenue metrics, and translate findings into clear recommendations.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, eCommerce, analytics, and creative to turn business objectives into executable campaigns.

What You Need

  • 7+ years in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, marketing automation, or CRM.
  • Hands-on HubSpot Marketing Hub experience workflows, lists and segmentation, lead scoring, lifecycle stages, forms, and campaign reporting. You'll be building, not just directing.
  • Experience directing or coordinating the work of other marketers
  • Track record of managing complex email programs and automated journeys across B2B and/or B2C audiences.
  • Strong grasp of email KPIs, deliverability, and database health.
  • Ability to analyze campaign data and turn it into recommendations.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to move faster on segmentation, copy iteration, and analysis, with good judgment about where they help and where they don't.

  • HTML/CSS for responsive email.
  • Dynamic content, personalization, and preference center experience.
  • Prior interim or contract work in a multi-brand or multi-business-unit environment.
