Detailed Description From Employer:

Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

We're looking for skilled electrical engineers to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to signal processing — making a real impact on the future of intelligent systems.

Organization: Alignerr

Type: Hourly Contract

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems across domains such as circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance
  • Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and reasoning
  • Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC)
  • Improve AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors and gaps in AI-generated engineering reasoning, then provide structured feedback that helps models think more accurately
  • Push Model Limits — Challenge AI on topics like embedded systems, VLSI, telecommunications, robotics, and engineering simulations — documenting failure modes to harden model reasoning

Who You Are

  • Pursuing or completed a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or signal processing
  • Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and concisely in written form
  • High attention to detail when reviewing mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on an asynchronous, flexible schedule
  • No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, SPICE, Simulink)
  • Background in standards compliance or technical writing
