Detailed Description From Employer:

Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. Your deep domain knowledge will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to power systems to signal processing. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where your expertise becomes the benchmark for AI intelligence.

Organization: Alignerr

Type: Hourly Contract

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems across domains including circuit analysis, power systems, electromagnetics, signal processing, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance
  • Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop precise, step-by-step technical solutions and "golden responses" that serve as the learning benchmark for AI models
  • Audit Technical Accuracy — Evaluate AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, and others)
  • Improve AI Reasoning — Identify flaws in AI logic, spot reasoning gaps, and deliver structured feedback that sharpens how models approach engineering problems

Who You Are

  • Holds or is pursuing a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Strong foundational expertise in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, embedded systems, or signal processing
  • Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely in written form
  • Highly detail-oriented when reviewing equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
  • No prior AI experience required — your engineering knowledge is what matters

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or quality evaluation workflows
  • Familiarity with engineering simulation tools or CAD software
  • Background in academic or industry research
