Summary: The Electrical Engineering AI Trainer role involves collaborating with leading AI research labs to enhance AI models using expertise in electrical engineering. The position is fully remote and allows for flexible working hours, focusing on creating and evaluating complex engineering problems. Candidates will be responsible for designing problems, authoring solutions, auditing technical accuracy, and providing feedback to improve AI reasoning. This role is ideal for those with advanced degrees in electrical engineering or related fields, looking to apply their knowledge in a cutting-edge AI environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced, domain-specific electrical engineering problems spanning circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and more to rigorously test AI performance
- Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step solutions that serve as the benchmark for AI learning and evaluation
- Audit Technical Accuracy — Review AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, mathematical proofs, and technical explanations for correctness, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.)
- Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify flaws in AI logic and provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves how the model approaches engineering problems
- Document Failure Modes — Record how and where AI models fall short so research teams can target specific weaknesses
Key Skills:
- Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, embedded systems, or signal processing
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely in writing
- Meticulous attention to detail when reviewing equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
- Self-directed and comfortable working independently in an async environment
- No prior AI experience required — your engineering expertise is what matters
- Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or quality evaluation (nice to have)
- Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.) (nice to have)
- Background in research or academic problem design (nice to have)
