Security Engineer (Door Entry & Access Control)
3-4 Month Contract | 39 Hours Per Week | Basic DBS Required
Are you an experienced Security Engineer with a strong background in door entry, access control, and fault-finding? We are seeking a skilled engineer to support a busy property services team on a 3-4 month contract, maintaining and upgrading security systems across residential properties and communal areas.
The Role
You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and upgrading a range of door entry and access control systems, ensuring reliable operation and excellent service delivery to residents and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Fault finding, repairs, servicing, and maintenance of communal door entry and access control systems.
- Reactive attendance to system faults and breakdowns.
- Commissioning and configuration of access control systems following upgrades and installations.
- Completing preventative maintenance activities and supporting system improvements.
- Maintaining accurate service records and documentation.
- Managing van stock levels and ordering materials where required.
- Working safely and in line with health and safety procedures.
- Providing a high level of customer service while working within occupied residential environments.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience with door entry and access control systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturers such as ISM, Stanley PAC and Entrotec.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
- Experience servicing automated doors, gates, and communal access systems.
- Excellent organisational and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electronics (or relevant discipline).
- Basic DBS Check required.
Desirable Experience
- CCTV systems.
- Communal TV systems.
- Housing association or social housing environments.
- Easinet database systems.
