Summary: The role of EHCP Officer involves managing the full Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within Lancashire County Council. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full EHCP process for children and young people with SEND, including assessments, plan writing, reviews, and consultations.
- Work closely with schools, families, and multi-agency professionals to ensure high-quality, person-centred EHCPs.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to EHCPs.
- Manage a varied caseload aligned to allocated educational settings, supporting positive outcomes and effective transitions.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in a SEND/EHCP role within a Local Authority.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and Children and Families Act 2014.
- Experience managing the end-to-end EHCP process.
