Summary: The Edifecs Developer role involves creating and updating healthcare EDI transaction profiles using Edifecs tools, configuring these tools for specific validations, and implementing solutions based on defined logic. Key Responsibilities:
- Creating/updating maps, guidelines, and profiles using Edifecs tools like SpecBuilder, Map Builder, and EAM.
- Developing guidelines (xml, DFF, PFF) for relevant Healthcare EDI transactions (e.g., 278, 837 I/P, 834, 835, 820).
- Configuring XEngine configuration files for trading partner specific validations.
- Configuring Severity files to perform custom error validation.
- Designing, developing, and implementing the Edifecs solution based on the profile logic and configurations.
- Thoroughly testing and validating the created profile to ensure it meets the required specifications.
- Coordinating with other application teams and providing necessary support for operations and QA during deployment.
