Summary: The EDI Developer role focuses on leveraging extensive experience with IBM Sterling Commerce applications and B2B Integrator to design, develop, and deploy EDI solutions. The position requires strong technical leadership and mentorship capabilities, along with proficiency in various communication protocols and business processes. The developer will also be responsible for monitoring EDI transactions and system performance while working remotely in the EST time zone. Knowledge of supply chain processes is considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, support, and monitor IBM Sterling Commerce applications and modules/pipelines.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of EDI solutions using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
- Utilize business processes (BPML) and adapters within Sterling Integrator.
- Develop maps in formats like ANSI X12, XML, EDIFACT, CSV, Flat files, JSON.
- Understand and implement communication protocols such as FTP, SFTP, AS2, VAN.
- Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions and system performance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior EDI developers.
- Engage in Agile Development practices, including backlog refinements and sprint planning.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- 12+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Integrator version 5.2.6 or above.
- Proficiency in DB2+SQL, XML, XSLT, Web services, APIs.
- Experience with EDI formats and communication protocols.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes is an advantage.
- Experience with Agile Development practices.
