We are actively looking for students from the top UK universities to join our fast-growing global community of over 1,000 mentors today!

Who can apply for the role? We are looking to recruit students currently studying at top UK universities across all years. We are also open to alumni applying. Please note that currently only UK Citizens, UK Permanent Residents, Irish Citizens, EU Citizens (pre-settled or settled status), and Graduate Visa are eligible to apply.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Brainstorm and Critique university application essays to help finalize content, structure, language, and grammar
  • Mentor and tutor university applicants and younger students through 1-on-1 chat/video calls to answer their questions about university selection, admissions tests, interviews, academics/courses, extracurriculars, resume/skills building, university life etc.

Do I need formal previous experience? No, you do not need to have formal mentoring/tutoring experience. While formal experience is always welcomed, we are mainly looking for highly motivated and professional mentors (even if they just have informal experiences to date).

What is the time commitment per week? This is a remote position with 100% flexibility to set your own hours/schedule throughout the year (i.e. around your university semester/summer/other jobs). There is no hard-weekly commitment, but as required, we have seen mentors commit up to 5-7 hours/week on average when they are actively working with students. Mentors can increase or decrease their commitment over time.

What is the compensation? Mentors will get paid ~£15-25/hr.
