Summary: The Dynamics 365 Data Modeller role focuses on developing a scalable data model in Power BI to enhance custom reporting and insights for a client utilizing Dynamics 365 Customer Insights. The position requires hands-on expertise in both Dynamics 365 and Power BI, with responsibilities including analysis, design, and implementation of data models. The role is contract-based, offering consultancy-level support to align data solutions with business needs. The contract is outside IR35 and is expected to last between 3 to 6 months with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse the current setup of Dynamics 365 Customer Insights (CI) and Power BI reporting framework
• Design and implement an effective data model to support custom dashboards and insights
• Collaborate with internal teams to define data mappings, metrics, and KPIs
• Advise on best practices for CI-Power BI integration
• Optimise performance and scalability of the data model for end-user consumption
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal staff

Key Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Insights (Data & Journeys modules)
• Deep understanding of Power BI – data modelling, DAX, relationships, custom measures
• Proven ability to work with CDP-level data, segmentation, and entity modeling
• Experience designing and building custom reports from OOTB Dynamics modules
• Strong stakeholder management and consultancy background
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in remote client-facing engagements
• Nice to Have: Experience with Azure Synapse, Data Lake, or other Microsoft data stack components
• Familiarity with customer journey orchestration or marketing automation tools
• Knowledge of the broader Dynamics 365 ecosystem (Sales, Marketing, etc.)
