Summary: The Disaster Recovery Architect is responsible for leading disaster recovery requirements gathering, recommending strategies, and executing enterprise IT disaster recovery processes. This role involves developing business recovery plans, conducting risk assessments, and facilitating the implementation of recovery solutions. The architect will also coordinate with various stakeholders to align emergency management plans and manage communications during business disruptions. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead disaster recovery requirements gathering and recommend BCMDR strategies and options.
  • Create the HLD/LLD/TRG documents.
  • Execute and support the enterprise IT Disaster Recovery and I/S Crisis process.
  • Facilitate the implementation of recovery solutions.
  • Develop and implement business recovery plans and procedures; review, revise, and expand existing plans and protocols.
  • Conduct risk assessments and analyze the potential impact of business interruptions.
  • Align IT organization priorities with key business objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and implement recovery operations and methods.
  • Create and facilitate practice drills for plan execution.
  • Develop and track program metrics to show activities and progress.
  • Review, configure, and maintain business continuity and crisis management tools.
  • Coordinate with health, safety, and security staff and external agencies to align emergency management plans.
  • Manage response coordination and communications during business disruptions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

Key Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as a code.
  • ESXi/Cloud Infrastructure build/troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of automation like Ansible/workflow-based DR-automation.
  • Basic knowledge of devops like CI-CD pipelining, scripting (Bash/PowerShell etc.)
  • Knowledge of SRE.
  • Tools like Zerto, Cutover and Perpetuuiti.
  • Proven experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Strong analytical skills for conducting risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to develop and implement recovery solutions.
  • Familiarity with crisis management tools and best practices.
