Summary: The DevTest & UAT Specialist role is a remote contractor position focused on supporting a high-profile program for a client in Belgium. The specialist will be responsible for setting up and maintaining DevTest and UAT environments in Azure DevTestLabs, ensuring software releases are tested, and tracking system bugs. Candidates must possess strong expertise in Azure DevOps and SharePoint, along with the necessary security clearance. This role requires independent work and coordination with remote teams to ensure effective testing and bug resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain DevTest server-side and client-side environments in Azure DevTestLabs.
- Implement the latest COTS releases extending SharePoint capabilities.
- Support testing of COTS software based on the NDWC roadmap.
- Deploy administrative and monitoring tools for the PLT003 platforms team.
- Reflect production-level end-user environments in cooperation with the CP team.
- Implement a lifecycle schedule for quarterly updates of the DevTest environment.
- Maintain an update log for all software versions deployed.
- Establish and maintain a UAT server-side environment for IVVQ testing.
- Follow Microsoft best practices for configuration.
- Commit deployment scripts weekly to the Azure DevOps repository.
- Implement a lifecycle schedule for UAT updates.
- Maintain a log of updates performed.
- Identify, document, and track reproducible bugs.
- Provide detailed bug reports including reproduction steps and system information.
- Prioritise bugs in the Product Backlog for resolution.
- Validate and document gaps in requirement fulfilment as user stories.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficient bug resolution.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience with Azure DevTestLabs and Azure DevOps.
- Strong expertise in SharePoint administration and customisation testing.
- Familiarity with COTS software deployment and integration.
- Experience in UAT & IVVQ testing environments.
- Strong bug tracking and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with remote teams.
