DevSecOps Architect

Summary: The DevSecOps Architect will lead the design and implementation of secure cloud solutions for the GIS Program, focusing on embedding security practices throughout the software development lifecycle. This role requires collaboration with various teams to establish secure architectures and automate security controls using modern DevSecOps practices in AWS. The position is fully remote and is intended for a long-term engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the lead DevSecOps and Cloud Security Architect for the GIS Program.
• Design and implement secure, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions.
• Embed SHIELD practices across the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with GIS application teams, Cloud Platform Engineering, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, and DevOps teams.
• Establish secure-by-design architectures and implement automated security controls.
• Accelerate delivery through modern DevSecOps practices in AWS.

Key Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Application Architecture, DevOps, or Cybersecurity.
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise DevSecOps solutions.
• Experience supporting large-scale cloud transformation programs.
• Experience with utility, GIS, or mission-critical enterprise platforms preferred.
• Deep expertise in AWS Cloud Architecture.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and secure SDLC practices.
