Summary: The role of DevOps Engineer (SC Cleared) involves supporting a consultancy in delivering a large-scale platform and modernization program. The position requires hands-on experience in managing CI/CD pipelines, deploying microservices, and operating within AWS environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for production services
- Write and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Deploy and operate microservices in AWS environments
- Support delivery teams with deployments, releases and environment issues
- Implement monitoring, logging, metrics and alerting
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, runtime issues and infrastructure problems
- Contribute to shared tooling, patterns and reusable templates
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on DevOps engineering experience
- Proven experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
- Solid Terraform experience, including modules and multi-environment setups
- Good AWS experience, including IAM, networking and container services
- Experience supporting services in production environments
- Familiarity with observability tooling (eg CloudWatch, Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus)
- Active SC clearance

We are supporting a consultancy delivering a large-scale platform and modernisation programme and are looking for experienced DevOps Engineers to support teams moving microservices onto a new cloud platform.
This is a hands-on role for engineers who are comfortable working end-to-end, from code through to production, and who enjoy supporting delivery teams through build, deployment and ongoing operations.
