Summary: The Cloud Platform Engineer role is a 6-month contract position focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS infrastructure, particularly the AWS Landing Zone. The position requires expertise in managing infrastructure as code with Terraform and automating workflows using GitHub Actions. The engineer will ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of cloud environments while collaborating with development and operations teams. SC clearance is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage AWS Landing Zones to support multi-account cloud environments
  • Configure and maintain AWS networking components (VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups)
  • Develop, maintain, and patch infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform modules
  • Build and manage CI/CD automation pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless platform integration and automation
  • Monitor and apply security patches and updates to infrastructure components and deployment pipelines
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency
  • Document architecture, configurations, and operational procedures

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience designing and managing AWS cloud infrastructure, including Landing Zones and networking
  • Strong proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools
  • Solid understanding of cloud security practices and patch management
  • Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment automation issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Cloud Platform Engineer 6 month contract Remote / London £400.00pd (Inside IR35) SC Cleared We are seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain foundational AWS infrastructure, including the AWS Landing Zone, networking architectures, and platform engineering solutions. The role involves managing infrastructure as code using Terraform and automating workflows through GitHub Actions. You will ensure reliable, secure, and scalable cloud environments, including patching and operational maintenance of infrastructure and pipelines.
