Summary: The DevOps Engineer role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines while optimizing infrastructure-as-code and supporting the migration of legacy systems to modern environments. The position requires collaboration with various teams to enhance operational processes and ensure adherence to AWS best practices. This is a remote position with some travel to Newcastle and Manchester, and it is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD (GitOps) and Helm.
- Develop and optimise infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and related automation tools.
- Support the containerisation and migration of legacy batch components into modern Kubernetes environments.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to improve build, deployment, and operational processes.
- Maintain and enhance version control, artifact registries, and pipeline integrations.
- Ensure alignment with AWS best practices for reliability, scalability, and security.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with DevOps practices and automation-first delivery.
- Hands-on with GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Helm or similar CI/CD and GitOps tools.
Salary (Rate): £500 daily
