Summary: The DevOps Engineer role is a contract position focused on continuous integration and deployment processes within a leading technology company. The successful candidate will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment processes, and collaborate with various teams to enhance software delivery. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects while adhering to security and compliance standards. The role requires a strong background in CI/CD practices and experience with tools like GitLab CI and Ansible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
- Automate application deployment processes to various environments.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software.
- Monitor and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
- Optimize build and deployment times to enhance productivity.
- Maintain and improve infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
- Ensure security and compliance standards are met throughout the CI/CD processes.
- Contribute to the improvement of DevOps practices and tooling within the organization.
- Experience with Ansible.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a CI/CD Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency with GitLab CI/CD.
- Experience in automating application deployment processes.
- Proficiency in Scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (eg, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with configuration management tools (eg, Ansible, Terraform).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps principles.
