Summary: The DevOps Consultant will be instrumental in enhancing a large-scale IoT platform by implementing best practices in deployment, security, and infrastructure. This role involves designing CI/CD pipelines, containerizing services, and optimizing the production ecosystem for performance and scalability. The consultant will also focus on monitoring and security improvements to ensure a robust operational environment. This is a contract position with a duration of four months, fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and improve DevOps architecture and workflows
- Design & implement CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
- Containerise services using Docker & Docker Compose
- Enhance deployment, release, and automation processes
- Implement monitoring, observability, and alerting
- Strengthen security (scanning, vulnerabilities, secrets management)
- Optimise infrastructure for performance, scalability, and resilience
Key Skills:
- Strong DevOps experience in production environments
- Expertise in Docker & containerised deployments
- Proven GitLab CI/CD pipeline implementation
- Experience with PHP applications in containerised environments
- Solid Linux & networking knowledge (TLS, reverse proxies, etc.)
- Monitoring & logging tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana)
- Security best practices & vulnerability scanning
