Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver design packages independently or within multi-disciplinary teams.

- Collaborate with an established engineering consultancy on national frameworks.
- Utilize strong technical knowledge in OHL, Primary, Secondary, and CDAE Cable design.
- Manage communication and stakeholder relationships effectively.

- Proven experience in HV substation projects (5+ years for OHL, Primary, Secondary Engineers; 10+ years for CDAE Cable Design Engineer).

Since 2016, CMC has delivered expert engineering solutions internationally, specializing in electronic systems and advanced engineering projects. As we expand our footprint across multiple ventures, we seek experienced professionals to join us and maintain our reputation for trusted, high-quality consulting services. CMC are currently supporting a portfolio of new and existing Substation projects across the UK. We are working in partnership with a well-established engineering consultancy, delivering on multiple national frameworks for UK Transmission System Operators (TSOs).
Contract Details
- Long-term contracts: 12 months+
- Remote working options (full-time or part-time)

Roles Available
We are particularly interested in engineers with proven experience delivering HV substation projects (up to 400kV) for UK TSOs. Opportunities include:
- Overhead Line (OHL) Engineers – 5+ years experience
- Primary Design Engineers – 5+ years experience
- Secondary Design Engineers – 5+ years experience
- CDAE Cable Design Engineer – 10+ years experience (project-specific requirement)
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstratable track record in TSO/DNO substation and/or OHL design projects
- Strong technical knowledge within your discipline (OHL, Primary, Secondary, CDAE Cable)
- Ability to deliver design packages independently or within multi-disciplinary teams
