Summary: The Deputy Chief Data Officer will lead the strategic direction and professional management of research regulatory approval data at the Health Research Authority (HRA). This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure data protection, quality, and accessibility while aligning with government data strategies. The position requires a strong focus on data literacy and ethical data use within the organization. The Deputy Chief Data Officer will also oversee the implementation of complex transformational programs in a health and care context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define a vision and strategy for research regulatory approval data.
- Lead the implementation of the data strategy in collaboration with senior leaders.
- Determine necessary data and technology for the program and strategize sourcing.
- Collaborate with the IG team to facilitate data sharing and reuse.
- Contribute to the Data Quality Forum to enhance data quality.
- Ensure ethical data use and compliance with standards and regulations.
- Increase data literacy and manage data effectively across the organization.
- Work with Cyber Security to ensure data security and accessibility.
- Ensure the organization has personnel with adequate data skills.
Key Skills:
- Master's level education in Data Informatics or related discipline.
