Delphi Developer (100% Remote) || Only W2 or 1099

Summary: The Delphi Developer role is a remote position focused on designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using the Delphi programming language. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development, particularly with Delphi, and will be responsible for ensuring software performance and stability while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position requires a strong understanding of databases and client/server applications, along with the ability to resolve complex technical issues. Candidates must also be available for weekend deployment schedules on a rotating basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Delphi.
• Analyze user requirements and write efficient code.
• Debug applications and ensure software performance and stability.
• Integrate applications with databases and maintain legacy systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective software solutions.
• Resolve performance/memory leak/scalability issues.
• Develop and enhance complex insurance/underwriting applications.
• Participate in the analysis and design of the client's system applications.
• Handle product versions, documentation, and development standards.
• Work within Agile/Scaled Agile framework as a scrum team member.
• Be available for weekend deployment schedules/activities on a rotating basis.

Key Skills:

• 10-12 years expert level experience in Software Development in Delphi (7 thru XE10).
• Experience within Delphi IDE (RAD) including VCL, Console apps, DUnit, XML, Web Services.
• Excellent understanding of RDBMS, particularly Oracle and/or MS-SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of COM, ODBC, OOPS concepts, and XML.
• Sound experience developing Client/Server applications, especially IIS.
• Proficiency using DevExpress, Woll2Woll components.
• Working knowledge of version control systems, esp Git/BitBucket/Mercurial.
• Competent technical and analytical communication skills.
• Experience within Agile/Scaled Agile framework.
• Exposure to the project life cycle (SDLC) with software development processes.
