Lung cancer is the UK's biggest cancer killer, yet caught at stage 1, over 90% of people survive five years. You'll lead the team taking a new national digital lung health check from pilot to a national service.
What you'll do
- Lead delivery of the digital lung health check: an online service that asks people about their smoking history to work out their lung cancer risk
- Take it out of its test-and-learn pilot and into national roll-out
- Run the ceremonies for a multidisciplinary team working iteratively
- Make bold calls, and pivot fast when the evidence tells you to
- Keep pace and clinical safety in balance, working hand in hand with clinical colleagues
- Bring senior stakeholders with you as you help design a national screening programme, with the digital service at its heart
What you'll bring
- A track record as a Delivery Lead or Delivery Manager on digital services, ideally in the public sector
- Agile delivery across discovery, Alpha, beta and live
- Confident, diplomatic stakeholder management at senior level
- Comfort making decisions when the picture is incomplete
Nice to have (not essential)
- NHS or healthcare experience
- Exposure to clinical safety standards such as DCB0129 and DCB0160
