Summary: My market leading client is seeking a Delivery Manager for a 6-month remote engagement to assist with critical project work, particularly involving AI and ML technologies. Candidates should have a consultancy background and experience with Tier 1 Government Agencies, and must be eligible for SC Clearance. The role requires strong delivery management skills and the ability to lead agile teams effectively. Immediate availability is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-performing, agile, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex digital products and services within consultancy or client-facing environments, including projects involving Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery lifecycles, proactively addressing risks, dependencies, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Own and maintain effective delivery governance and artefacts (e.g., RAID logs, highlight reports, delivery plans, and budget trackers).
  • Collaborate with clients and internal specialists (e.g. User-Centred Design, Engineering, Data Science, Live Services) to design intelligent, achievable delivery plans that align with agile principles and best practice.
  • Lead commercial assurance to verify timesheet accuracy, team forecasts, and budget utilisation/forecasts against delivery and contractual obligations.
  • Build trusted client relationships, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction throughout delivery.
  • Apply strong delivery assurance and progress tracking to maintain quality.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement through workshops and effective communication at all organisational levels.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrable commercial awareness and experience managing budgets, financial forecasts, timesheet, and Statements of Work in a consultancy or client-facing setting.
  • A solid technical understanding to work confidently with technical leads in identifying and managing requirements, dependencies, and issues.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and pragmatic approach.
  • Proven ability to manage complex delivery lifecycles, effectively identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, and balancing multiple goals and dependencies.
  • Strong delivery assurance, risk management, and progress tracking capabilities.
  • Strong experience of Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.
  • Industry certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or PRINCE2 Agile.

Summary: My market leading client are looking to secure the services of a Delivery Manager to assist with critical project work over the coming months. Candidates must demonstrate a consultancy background with experience across Tier1 Government Agencies such as DEFRA, DWP, NICE, NPOCC, MHRA, UKHSA, suitable consultants will need to be able to start within the next few weeks and be eligible for SC Clearance.
