Summary: uTest is seeking a freelance, remote, full-time Dedicated Testing Lead to oversee QA testing for an ongoing project, with flexibility in location as long as the candidate can work during UK timezone hours. The role involves engaging with customers, conducting manual testing, and ensuring high-quality results through collaboration with Scrum teams. The position is set to start on July 1st and is a 12-month contract requiring 40 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend various internal (customer) meetings such as stand-ups
- Engage with the customer and their teams to drive best practices that lead to a testing-focused approach
- Double-check the testing scenarios created by the customer and ensure it is exhaustive
- Carry out manual testing of the application
- Write Test Cases (TCs) for functional (FN) testing as well as monitor and triage test cycles to ensure high quality results
- Review and validate user stories and acceptance criteria for Digital Mobile Sales journeys
- Execute manual test cases in Azure DevOps across web and mobile app environments
- Perform smoke testing and functional validation in lower test environments
- Mark UAT criteria as pass/fail, and clearly raise and document any defects encountered
- Collaborate with Scrum teams to provide prompt feedback and ensure issues are addressed within sprint timelines
Key Skills:
- Professional experience in quality assurance, testing and test case management
- Manual Testing skills
- Experience using Azure DevOps (or similar systems)
- Experienced in client-facing communication
- Strong verbal and written communications skills in English
