Summary: The DDI Engineer role focuses on the engineering, administration, and optimization of enterprise DDI platforms, specifically Infoblox, BlueCat, and VitalQIP. The position requires extensive hands-on experience in DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) within large-scale environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and supporting enterprise DDI systems rather than experience limited to network security. This is a fully remote, 6-month contract position with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer, deploy and maintain enterprise DDI platforms, including Infoblox, Cygna Labs QIP and/or VitalQIP.
- Design and administer enterprise DNS, DHCP and IPAM services.
- Lead DDI platform migrations, upgrades and consolidation projects.
- Design and maintain IP address management structures, subnet allocation and governance.
- Manage DHCP scopes, failover configurations and enterprise lease management.
Key Skills:
- Strong commercial experience engineering enterprise DDI platforms.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of: Infoblox (NIOS/BloxOne), Cygna Labs QIP, VitalQIP.
- Experience delivering DDI migrations and upgrades.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals (IP Addressing, subnetting, routing and VLANs).
- Experience within regulated environments would be ideal.

Our client is looking for an experienced DDI Engineer to join a large scale programme. The role is focused on engineering, administration and optimisation of enterprise DDI platforms. We're looking for a dedicated DDI specialist with extensive hands-on engineering experience across enterprise DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management (IPAM) platforms.
This role will suit someone who has built, engineered, migrated and supported enterprise DDI environments, not someone whose DNS/DHCP experience has come purely through network security or Firewall products.
