Summary: The role of DB2 DBA LUW involves managing and optimizing DB2 LUW database instances across various platforms, with a focus on performance tuning, backup and recovery, and high availability configurations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade DB2 LUW database instances on Linux, Unix, or Windows platforms.

  • Perform database backups, restores, and recovery operations using DB2 utilities (e.g., db2backup, db2restore).
