Summary: The Dayforce Report Writer role involves supporting a Dayforce HRIS implementation by recreating existing PeopleSoft reports into Dayforce. The position requires strong analytical skills to understand legacy reports and translate them into the new system, focusing on high-priority reporting needs prior to the Wave 1 go-live. Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse existing PeopleSoft reports to understand logic, calculations, and data outputs
  • Work with stakeholders to clarify and refine reporting requirements
  • Design and build equivalent reports within Dayforce (UI-based reporting tools)
  • Identify and map data from legacy reports to the correct fields within Dayforce
  • Support UAT and parallel testing, validating outputs against legacy reports
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between systems
  • Document report logic, assumptions, and data mappings

Key Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience building reports in Dayforce
  • Experience working on HRIS implementations or report migrations
  • Ability to interpret and reverse-engineer legacy reports (e.g. PeopleSoft)
  • Strong understanding of HR and payroll data
  • Experience supporting UAT and data validation
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail

We’re supporting a Dayforce HRIS implementation and are looking for an experienced Dayforce Report Writer to support a major reporting workstream.

The role will focus on recreating reports being using in the current PeopleSoft system, into Dayforce. A number of this are high priorty, prior to Wave 1 go live.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analyse existing PeopleSoft reports to understand logic, calculations, and data outputs
  • Work with stakeholders to clarify and refine reporting requirements
  • Design and build equivalent reports within Dayforce (UI-based reporting tools)
  • Identify and map data from legacy reports to the correct fields within Dayforce
  • Support UAT and parallel testing, validating outputs against legacy reports
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between systems
  • Document report logic, assumptions, and data mappings

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong hands-on experience building reports in Dayforce - examples of doing so on a project, vs building a couple as part of another job, will be critical
  • Experience working on HRIS implementations or report migrations
  • Ability to interpret and reverse-engineer legacy reports (e.g. PeopleSoft)
  • Strong understanding of HR and payroll data
  • Experience supporting UAT and data validation
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail

This role is less about technical development and more about translating legacy reporting into Dayforce — understanding what the data is doing, where it sits, and how to accurately recreate it in a new system.
