The Databricks contractor role centres on the ability to implement, configure, and develop data solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, which has become one of the dominant enterprise data engineering and analytics platforms in the UK market. Contract engagements typically involve building data pipelines using Apache Spark within the Databricks environment, implementing Delta Lake architectures for reliable and scalable data storage, developing machine learning workflows using MLflow, configuring and administering Databricks workspaces and Unity Catalog for governance, and migrating existing data warehouse or Hadoop workloads to Databricks.
