Database Migration Engineer
Location: Remote/London 1 day per week

Rate: 675 per day inside ir35

Contract: 6 months+

SC security clearance is required for this role (with NPPV3 to be approved once in post)

You will join a dedicated team tasked with migrating a very large Oracle 11gR1 database and PL/SQL code to PostgreSQL in AWS Cloud. You will make or guide architectural decisions on the migration approach, model the solutions approach and tooling and support the software's development and testing

Key Competencies
* Development:
- Competence in and understanding of coding best practices, clean code, code review and similar
- Design, build and assure quality of applications
* Software Design:
- Specify system behaviour in software components based on requirements
* Demonstrated understanding of current trends in software development and architecture and integration in other systems (eg. Cloud, Automation, APIs, DevOps, Mobile)
