Summary: The Data Analyst role focuses on providing strategic insights into emerging technologies for NATO's Science & Technology initiatives. The position requires analyzing diverse data sources and leveraging AI and NLP to drive innovation in defense and security. This is a remote position with a contract structured around 20 one-week sprints. Candidates must possess a strong background in data analytics and relevant technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze vast amounts of data from diverse sources (scientific publications, news, social media, etc.)
• Conduct horizon scanning & trend scouting to identify breakthrough technologies
• Build data models, repositories, ETL pipelines, and dashboards for real-time insights
• Use NLP & AI to enhance analysis and reporting
• Work in an Agile environment with 1-week sprint cycles

Key Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, AI, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years in a data analytics role
• Expertise in Python, SQL, PowerBI, R, TensorFlow, NoSQL
• Experience with ETL pipelines, REST APIs, media monitoring, and technology foresight
• Strong analytical & critical thinking skills
• NATO/International organization experience is a big plus
