Summary: We're looking for an experienced Database Developer to maintain and enhance our database systems during a period of extended leave. The role involves supporting ETL workflows and improving reporting capabilities within a fully remote environment. Candidates should be confident in working independently and have a strong background in SQL and AWS technologies. This position is outside IR35 and is expected to last for 4-6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases in AWS RDS/Aurora
  • Develop and optimise T-SQL and PL/pgSQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
  • Enhance and support ETL processes (C# / AWS Lambda)
  • Collaborate with developers to align database models with application needs

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Database Developer to provide cover during a period of extended leave. You'll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our database systems, supporting ETL workflows, and improving reporting capabilities.

Our environment includes MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases hosted in AWS RDS and Aurora, with ETL logic built in C# and AWS Lambda. Experience with Amazon QuickSight is a plus.

This is a fully remote position, ideal for someone confident working independently and able to hit the ground running.
