Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain high-availability database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
- Monitor performance, conduct tuning, and ensure database resilience and security
- Lead and mentor junior DBAs while supporting cross-functional teams
- Drive strategic planning for database upgrades and enhancements
- Maintain clear documentation and ensure data governance and compliance
- Support end users and developers with performance optimisation and troubleshooting
Key Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience as a DBA, including senior or lead-level responsibilities
- Proven experience in database design, optimisation, and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, and/or MySQL
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence
- Familiarity with database security best practices
