Summary: A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy is seeking a DW Developer / Data Warehouse Consultant to address performance and stability issues in enterprise data pipelines within an NHS Trust environment. This hands-on role emphasizes SQL performance tuning, DBA-level troubleshooting, and stakeholder engagement. The position is remote and offered as a 3-month contract inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and remediate performance and reliability issues within data warehouse pipelines
- Perform SQL and database-level performance tuning and optimisation
- Support and advise on data warehouse architecture and data structures
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Support NHS national submissions and ensure alignment with NHS data dictionaries and standards
Key Skills:
- Strong Data Warehouse development experience
- Advanced SQL (writing and optimising complex queries)
- DBA-level knowledge, particularly performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of data architecture and data structures
- Experience with NHS national submissions and NHS data dictionaries
- Strong communication skills and experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders
