Key Responsibilities:
- Define end-to-end data architecture using Microsoft Fabric and wider Azure services
- Create clear solution designs covering ingestion, modelling, governance, lineage, and analytics
- Work with engineering teams to ensure architectures are practical and deliverable
- Support clients through migrations into Fabric OneLake, including integration planning
- Provide technical direction, design assurance, and best practice guidance
- Help develop repeatable approaches for future Fabric-based implementations
Key Skills:
- Strong experience as a Data Solutions Architect in cloud environments (Azure preferred)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (e.g., Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Power BI)
- Solid understanding of data modelling, ELT patterns, and governance frameworks
- Good communication skills, able to work with stakeholders at multiple levels
- Experience supporting delivery teams and ensuring solutions meet business requirements
- Comfortable with SQL and Python when needed for validation or prototyping

iO Associates are supporting a consultancy scaling their Microsoft Fabric offering. We are looking for a Data Solutions Architect who can lead the design of modern, cloud-first data platforms and guide clients through the transition into Fabric.
This role suits someone who enjoys being close to delivery, understands how decisions play out in the real world, and feels comfortable shaping standards and approaches that teams can follow.

Rate: £600 - £700 (Outside)
Contract: 3 months initially, strong potential to extend
